NH 10 Anushka Sharma

NH10  Indian thriller film directed by Navdeep Singh. It stars Anushka Sharma and Neil Bhoopalam in lead roles, and marks the production debut of Sharma. The film is co-produced by Phantom Films. It tells the story of a young couple whose road trip goes awry after an encounter with a group of violent criminals. The film's title refers to the 403 km long National Highway 10 that starts from Delhi, passes through Haryana via BahadurgarhRohtak, Hisar, Fatehabad, Sirsa and ends at the Pakistan border in Punjab. The film is a powerful social commentary on the plight of women in a male dominated society. The film was scheduled for release on 6 March, 2015, however due to censoring issues with the Central Board it released on 13 March, 2015.

Meera (Anushka Sharma) and Arjun (Neil Bhoopalam) are professionals living in Gurgaon. When Meera walks out of a party late one night, suddenly she is attacked by a group of unknown men. Although she escapes by the skin of her teeth, the encounter leaves her traumatised. Arjun, partly blaming himself for not being there that night, tries to make up for it by treating her for a luxurious desert holiday. As they stop on a Highway dhaba for lunch, they witness a young girl being picked up by a bunch of hoodlums. Arjun chooses to step in, unaware of the danger lies ahead.
It turns out to be a case of honour-killing of a couple in love, by the girl's brother (Darshan Kumaar) and his friends. Meera and Arjun witness the murders and are caught by the killers. Their escape bid is foiled and Arjun is injured by a knife and Meera tries to fetch help. Meera realises that the police and the Sarpanch ( Deepti Naval ) of the nearby village are in fact, supporting the killing. Meera's attempt to save her husband is the basic story of this film.

The Budget of the Movie is 14 Crore Indian Rupees and the language is Hindi
